If only they could see,
If only they had been here.
They would understand
How someone could have chosen
To go the length I’ve gone,
To spend just one year riding,
Holding on to you,
I never thought it would be this clear

Song lyrics, lovelorn notes and math problems appear on the walls of the University of Chicago’s Regenstein Library, all graffiti left there by students. The annoying kid said, “Well, at least I have a girlfriend!” to which I responded, “Whatever. Also dedicate this to those who are far away. Don’t let distance break us, let it make us stronger and sturdier. Just know that I will always have so much to say even when you’re so far away.
